Something unique about our home run studio is our wonderful home-built 4 color one station silkscreen press.
The wonderful press
The press was built in 24 hours over 6 days by Corey Weiss and Callil Capuozzo. It is a masterpiece of precise measurements and a whole lot of patience. It may not be as fancy as some of the metal adjustable presses but it’s got a lot more soul. Right now we have only one station built into the press, but we will build a second platen soon. As for the printing on the press I couldn’t be happier, the registration is pretty damn close to perfect if you spend the time to get it right. I’ve been able to do some great 3 color prints and can’t wait do do my first 4 color print.
